My Birthday

I turned 35 yesterday! I took the day off and went skiing at Eldora until 11:30 and realized I was too tired to continue. My body isn't the same anymore. I had fun though. I then went shopping and bought a few things for myself and went home to get a few things done around the house. It was a great day! Betsy and the kids got me a digital picture frame I had been wanting and can't wait to get it hooked up. Thank you to everyone who sent me birthday wishes on Face book and email yesterday. It was nice to know I really do have friends and people who care. This Saturday is Lucy's 5th birthday and we will go to Chuck-E-Cheese with four of her friends and then Sunday we will celebrate Betsy's birthday. It is a busy week for us with 3 out of 4 birthday's in one week...DW

Sunday School Class

I am a classroom facilitator for our 3rd grade girls Sunday school class. We have 42 girls on the roster and 4 different small group leaders. Instead of teaching one large class we break the girls into small groups with a leader for each. Below is a picture of the small group leaders and part of the class. We meet in the same classroom that Betsy teaches 4th grade during the week. See if you can find Morgan in the picture with her friends...DW

Lucy turns 5 (almost)

We were in Estes Park over the weekend to celebrate Lucy and a few others birthdays at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Her official birthday is February 28 (one day before Betsy's and a week after mine).

Lady Wolverines

That is the name of Morgan's new basketball team this year. They have played two games. Morgan scored 6 points her first game and they have won both games beating their opponents by at least 12 points each game. Morgan has a great coach and team this year with the Upward program at church. http://www.upward.org/ ...DW

Morgan is the smallest on the team but great ball handling skills as point guard.

A little Texas two step for the crowd...

Skiing at Eldora

I took my oldest daughter, Morgan and her best friend, Abby skiing yesterday at Eldora. It was a beautiful day and no crowds. I took them out of school with the permission of Mrs. Weber of course :) DW

Political Correctness

My oldest niece, Ashley attends Oklahoma Christian University and recently published a great article on this country's obsession with political correctness. Check it out at: http://blogs.oc.edu/ee/index.php?/talon/cat/letter_to_the_editor15/
